Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos
The majority of robot vacuum and mop combinations can be customized using a specialized application. You can save maps of your house as well as create cleaning schedules and select mopping modes. You can also adjust the suction power, and the amount of water the mop is using.
A mapping function will help your robot navigate through rooms. A feature to avoid obstacles will stop it from running into furniture, wires, or stray toys. These are must-have features in my home, which is filled with toys that are scattered about.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the company's flagship vacuum and mop, comes packed with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and raise its brushes or mop pads to ensure that soft surfaces don't get wet. It also can detect and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to spot pets plants, small objects.
The maximum suction power is 6,000 pascals. This is the highest power of any other robot vacuum we've test to date. It also has PreciSense LiDAR Navigation to track its location, preventing it becoming stuck on objects.
The mopping function is impressive and the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of more than 6 Newtons to the mop pad, resulting in a deep clean. It also comes with mop lifter that lifts the pad automatically when it changes between tile and laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs, to avoid soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad can be rinsed and heat-dried within the dock and the dust bin is automatically empty and returned to it. You can set it up and forget about it. It is only necessary to refill the water tank, or replace the dust bag occasionally.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I tested it with its standard vac and mop settings for around 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to get power hungry and return to its base for a recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes Roborock claims, and is on par with other hybrids that I've tried.
This is a very well-rounded and capable product, with the only drawback being the fact that it's expensive. But, the sheer number of features makes it a very appealing alternative for anyone who wishes to get rid of their old stick vacuum and mops. We highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify its price.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an expensive combination. Its high-end price is justified by its robust feature set, which includes the capacity to vacuum large volumes and two gyrating mop mops. It also comes with an app-based, smart controller and powerful obstacle avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combinations out there at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it did well across all areas of the home, removing 98.4 percent of debris from all floors and managing to lift long hair with no tangling. The mops also performed well and produced excellent results for cleaning with less effort than mid-range models. This was due to their rotational motion and an effective dose of cleaning solution.
The docking station is the primary selling point of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and advanced. The dock empties its dustbin into dirt bag, then refills its water tank to enable mopping and dry the mop pads for you. It features a real-time risk detection system, and its smart controls let you schedule periodic cleaning sessions.
The L10S Ultra does not offer better performance for removing carpet debris in comparison to the other hybrid mop I tested. Additionally it's not as capable at scrubbing away tough stains like those in the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, which is the most expensive model. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's premium features, it still requires regular maintenance. The base station must be cleaned out, and the dustbag and water tanks must be emptied, cleaned and dried regularly to prevent unpleasant odors and mildew. It is also important to remember that the mop pads which are purchased separately, are required to be replaced periodically too.
With the L10S Ultra's pricey price tag and extensive functionality I would recommend it to anyone with the funds for it. If you're on a budget I would suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money and still enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. It's important to note that even it's true that the L10S Ultra is the best mop and robotic vacuum you can buy but its high cost and constant maintenance will eventually make it more of a wish than a need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you require to tidy up mess and remove dirt from your floors. This powerful robovac/mop combination is a mighty 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts an enormous battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. It is also equipped with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. robot vacuum hoover has a mop with a roller that cleans itself, making it stand out from models which require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is a departure from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller covers the entire length of the robot and it receives a constant supply of clean, ozonated filtered water from the dock. When it turns the roller, it scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes or swept away into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro dumps dirty mop water into its base station, where it is sucked up by the heater elements of the tank and empty into a larger storage container. The onboard tank holds a decent amount of water, and it can handle a half dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop combos, the S1 Pro is ready to roll out from the box. The S1 Pro does need to be filled with clean water. This is easily done using the cleaning dock. If you want to use your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to dock. If you do choose to use this feature you'll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit users to use their own cleaning products.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and efficiency of navigation tests, as did the majority of robots. It was fast to map a room and it was able to navigate through furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple of times on carpets with longer piles and rugs during my tests however this can be improved when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that offers a lot of functionality at affordable prices.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum, and it has some outstanding features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot's dirtbag and replenishes its water tanks, washing and sanitizing mop pads as they go. The mopping system is able to be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's extreme suction is perfect for picking up pet hair and debris on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is quite dense, offering a wide variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start the full map and then clear everything that's been that the device maps, or you can select individual rooms, expandable zones, or even a schedule you've crafted. There are a number of mopping options that include SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the sensors of the mops to determine the most efficient method to clean your home while it maps the area.
The Qrevo did well during our tests, just as all Roborock models we've tested. Its navigation system works well, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in a well-organized way. The 'Normal" pathing option covers an area well, and doesn't leave any major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard-avoidance feature works well too, but it is not as advanced as the color camera systems found on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers like thick carpets however it won't always detect small things such as rug tassels or electrical wires.
This machine has one major flaw: it does not offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who regularly vacuum before using their robot. Thankfully, there's an easy alternative: the app has the option to "clean up" at the end of each vacuuming session. This allows you to use the mopping feature of the vacuum to remove the last traces of debris and dust left behind by your vacuuming. It's a nice feature and helps the robot to clean up a little bit better than its cheaper rivals.
